The Department of Spatial Information Sciences at DIT is pleased to invite you to this event as part of its Developments Series of Programmes for Industry. Programmes are also offered in its Fundamentals Series, Specialisation Series and Showcase Series. Attendance at this event is free of charge but registration is required. It is supported by EuroSDR, Compass Informatics, Society of Chartered Surveyors and Irish Institution of Surveyors. The INSPIRE Directive sets out the principles and rules for creating an Infrastructure for Spatial Information in the European Community. Implementation of INSPIRE is via legally binding Implementing Rules, the first of which became an EC Regulation on 24th December 2008, covering metadata. In this CPD event, learn about the current National and EU status of INSPIRE and ongoing implementation requirements.
