Workshop 2 - Review of Standards for Boundary Surveys in Ireland - Case StudiesAisling Hotel, Dublin 7 (beside Heuston Station) Thursday 3rd December 2009 - 10am to 5pm (lunch included)
The IIS Green Paper ‘Proposing Reform of Boundary Surveys in Ireland’ published this time last year established a defined methodology and provisional accuracy standards for (survey control and content) for boundary surveys. Many survey professionals (IIS members and others) attended a range of seminars during autumn 2007 and spring 2008 to assist in the development of these andards, and certain practitioners have put this methodology and provisional standards into practice over the past year. The intention of the workshop is to examine various case studies involving the implementation of these standards by different professionals to: - Examine the range of interpretations of the provisional standards and products produced by different professionals;
- Provide a forum to debate any practical issues highlighted during the first year of operation;
- Develop proposals for amending the proposed standards.
Attendance at Workshops: Maximum participation at each of these workshops is 30 people, so attendance will be at ‘first come first served’ basis. Therefore members are requested to book their places with Vera ASAP
