The IIS now offer the facility for members to move to an overseas membership status and get a reduced rate on membership fees while not working overseas in the surveying/GI industry.

CONDITIONS OF OVERSEAS STATUS (50% of current membership category)
1. Overseas status is only available to members who work outside the island of Ireland
for the full duration of 2011
2. Overseas members will not be assigned a membership card and will thus not be able to
avail of IIS discounts where the card is required
3. The newsletter will only be provided in electronic format on provision of a valid email
address
4. For attendance at any CPD events standard member fees will apply
5. All outstanding membership fees must be paid in full before members are eligible to
apply for inactive status
6. Payment must be made by Cheque, Postal Order or Electronic Transfer
7. This application is valid for 2011 only
8. The decision of council to approve or reject the application is final
9. Any abuse of overseas status will result in removal of your name from the
membership register of the IIS
