2.6 Members relations with other Professionals
Members shall at all times seek to maintain the highest standards of integrity, honesty, and professionalism in their relations and dealings with members of other professional disciplines. Dealings with other professals shall be confidential with regard to all legal business information, unless prior consent of said professional is obtained.

Members shall at all times seek to uphold the reputation of and respect the professional standing of the other professions.

Members shall not directly or indirectly exert undue pressure on, or influence in any way any person or an intermediary, whether by the offer or provision of any inducement such as payment, gift or favour, or otherwise, for the purpose of securing instructions for work. Members shall not accept instructions for work from any person whom the member has reason to believe has been subjected to undue pressure or influence by a third party in expectation of gaining financial or other material benefit from the introduction.

2.7 Professional Fees
Members must guide their clients in choosing a specification for the work that best corresponds to the use for which it is intended and endeavour to save him unnecessary expense.


Members should guarantee to their clients, quality and thoroughness in their work, and at the same time ensure for themselves a fair and equitable remuneration for their efforts.


Members shall not revise quotations to take account of a fee quoted by another geodetic surveyor for the same services, or quote a fee for services which is calculated by reference to a fee quoted or charged by another geodetic surveyor, and reduced by some proportion or fixed amount.
